Derrick White hit a buzzer-beating tip-in to give the Boston Celtics a 104-103 victory over the Miami Heat in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Saturday night. The Celtics now force a Game 7 on Monday night in Boston.
White finished with 11 points, four rebounds, and six assists. He also had a steal and a block.
The Celtics led for most of the game, but the Heat rallied in the fourth quarter. With the Heat leading by one with 3 seconds left, Marcus Smart took a 3-pointer from the corner. The shot bounced off the rim, but White was there to tip it in with less than a second on the clock to give the Celtics the win.
The Celtics are now one win away from reaching the NBA Finals. They will need to win Game 7 on their home court to do it.
